Sales

 INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for quoting and closing sales. The Company expects the Inside Sales Representative to provide the highest level of customer service, fostering the development and maintenance of strong relationships with customers and teammates.

  • Description:
  • Provide dedicated support to answer or coordinate responses for all requests from assigned customers.
  • Communicate product specifications, applications, and life cycle.
  • Assist customers in determining the best solution for their needs.
  • Respond to customer requests for information.
  • Engage in online inventory management and email communication for the majority of the day.
  • Provide information on product availability and pricing.
  • Contact prospects to identify appropriate contacts, qualify leads, and drive them through the sales pipeline.
  • Stay knowledgeable and up-to-date on changes and developments in the industry.
  • Keep management informed of all activity, including the timely preparation of reports.
  • Collaborate closely with Support, Community Management, Account Management, and Business Development teams.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business-related or technical field preferred.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-changing environment.
  • Experienced with responding to customer inquiries and preparing sales quotes.
  • Experienced with developing and maintaining strong relationships with customer base.

Industrial Technician

 ESSENTIAL DUTIES 

  • Maintain infrastructure to support corporate/business unit goals within assigned area.
  • Coordinate courtesy work activity to meet corporate/business unit goals and objectives.
  • Able and willing to travel a minimum of 50% of the time to perform tasks at customer sites.
  • Troubleshoot machinery and resolve a high percentage of mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical issues unassisted.
  • Actively involved with equipment installations and commissioning of machines
  • Communicate effectively with other field service technicians to resolve technical issues.
  • Document pertinent technical and customer information to facilitate an ongoing business relationship.
  • Carrying out tasks of the aftermarket sales area of the business.
    • Produce extremely accurate, complete and timely customer technical reports that can be submitted to customers with    confidence.
  • Take initiative to learn new components and design principles as they are introduced.
    • Proactively identifies product/service sales opportunities at customer sites that will enhance customer's packaging processes.
  • Train customer personnel in informal (hands on) settings.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

  • Preferably have a two-year technical degree in packaging machine automation or related technical field such as Fluid Power or Industrial Maintenance and a minimum of five years demonstrated work experience in the packaging manufacturing industry or related technical field, or, have a high school diploma and five years of demonstrated work experience in the packaging manufacturing industry or a related technical field.

 Responsibilities

• Develop a complete understanding of all valve products
• Maintain a working knowledge of all relevant customer issues, pricing and billing procedures, and collections status.
• Remain knowledgeable of company’s products, market and industry trends, competitors, and leading customer strategies.
• Manage a balanced distribution network
• Develop and maintain lasting industry relationships with current clients and prospects
• Grow product acceptability with major market End Users and EP&C companies within a geographical region
• Required overnight travel within the geographical regions
• Ensure quotes and orders are done in a timely manner, meeting deadlines from sales team and customers
• Remain attuned to market trends and competitor activity
• Maintain current knowledge and job skills - advising management of any training needs
• Report on activities, progress, market information, and new ideas
• Integrate into local trade organizations and professional associations
• Develop relationships with customers in the designated position territory

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Personal Attributes)
• Must have technical sales experience selling Industrial Valves and value-added products and services.
• Demonstrated achievements in sales
• Ability to develop and nurture long standing relationships
• 3+ years of project management experience
